Lanotec Timber Seal

LANOTEC TIMBER SEAL is a lanolin-based timber treatment designed to protect, nourish and weatherproof timber. It helps prevent cracking, splitting and drying while enhancing the natural grain and extending the life of outdoor timber structures, decks and furniture.

The power of lanolin, proven for generations

There is a reason the timber in old shearing sheds lasts for decades.
Lanolin naturally protects wood from moisture, rot and harsh weather.
LANOTEC TIMBER SEAL PLUS uses that same lanolin technology to deliver long lasting protection for outdoor timber without harsh petrochemicals.

How to use:

  1. Ensure timber is clean and dry before application

  4. Allow product to soak in and dry fully
  5. Reapply annually or as needed to maintain protection

For best results: treat end grains with LANOTEC TYPE A GREASE to help prevent moisture ingress.
Applying to warm timber helps speed absorption and gives an even finish.

Important:

Timber acts like a wick, drawing in only what it needs.
Over application will result in tackiness on the surface of the timber.

How to check if your deck needs recoating:

  • Drop a small amount of water onto the timber surface.
  • If it absorbs quickly, it is time to recoat.
  • If the water beads on the surface, your timber is still protected.
