Wirelock is a two-part socketing compound used as a safe, no-heat alternative to white metal for terminating wire rope. It requires no special tools and can be poured on-site, even at low temperatures. Sockets can be loaded in as little as 50 minutes (at 18–24°C). Wirelock is lighter than white metal and is compatible with most commercial sockets and rope types. It also suits short basket, armoured, and umbilical cable applications. Not suitable for strong acids or alkaline environments.
